John Young, (ex Chairman of APCOA Parking UK Ltd) who left the industry over 3 years ago to take a sabbatical has returned and joined Parkmobile to help grow their share of the cashless parking business in the UK.

November 2009 - New Forest (UK) inroduces Parkmobile's cashless parking solution

Drivers in the New Forest will find it much easier to park with the introduction of a new cashless parking system which will provide motorists and businesses with an alternative method of paying for parking in 39 of its car parks. With a total of 1464 short stay bays and 3936 long stay bays, New Forest District Council currently handles around one million parking transactions annually.

As of December dutch motorists can start and stop parking sessions by sending text messages to Parkmobile. Cashless parking by TXT is a complementary service in addition to the existing activation methods of Parkmobile, such as IVR and internet. The TXT service is available in all Parkmobile cities in the Netherlands.

April 2006 - Nijmegen chooses Parkmobile as strategic partner.

The city of Nijmegen has assigned Parkmobile to provide the parking permit management system with a possible future option for a digital permit management system. Also, deals have been made about the introduction of electronic parking for multiple providers, based on the solutions the company has delivered in Amsterdam. Later this year, Parkmobile will introduce Sphynxx, the Parkmobile solutiuon for enforcement and supervision, in Nijmegen.

February 2006 - Parkmobile wins big tender in Athens.

The mayor of Athens has allowed Parkmobile the assignment to introduce paid parking in the city of Athens. With this tender, Parkmobile becomes responsible to build and manage the infrastructure and all systems for paid parking in Athens.
